What is CBD?
CBD is short for âcannabidiolâ, a chemical compound found in dry herb. This is a naturally occurring substance that is used in vegan edible brownies, lotions, dog medicine, and everything in between.
Full Spectrum CBDÂ
Full-spectrum CBD is an extract that contains all compounds found naturally occurring in the plant, including terpenes essential oils, and other properties. All of the properties of full-spectrum CBD can combine, meaning you might need less full-spectrum CBD than broad-spectrum or CBD isolate.Â
CBD Isolate
An isolate is the purest form of a compound, theyâre produced by singularly extracting whatever compound from its environment and isolating it from all the other compounds. CBD Isolate is the purest form of CBD. All terpenes, flavonoids, plant parts, and other properties are removed. Hemp is the most common way CBD Isolate is extracted, due to the low amount of psychoactive compounds it holds.Â
Broad-Spectrum CBD
Broad-spectrum CBD is a bit of a mix between Full-Spectrum and CBD Isolate. Like Full Spectrum CBD, the other compounds in hemp are preserved in the extract, BUT the psychoactive property of dry herb has been completely removed. Broad-Spectrum has the same âentourage effectâ as Full-Spectrum CBD, without the risk of psychoactive effects.Â
